• Josh Peters baffled the Escondido Hitters, throwing a complete game no-hitter.
• Peters cruised through the Escondido lineup with ease, striking out five and allowing only three base runners the entire game.
• Escondido came close to hits only twice during the game when centerfielder Shawn Sanford made a leaping catch against the centerfield fence off the Escondido leadoff hitter’s bat to start the game. The other close call was when second baseman Sonny Hughey made a diving play to get the force out at second base for the second out of the seventh inning.
• The last hitter flew out to seal the no-hitter for Peters.
• Kevin Vandivort continued his hot hitting going 2-3 and is 5-7 in his last two games.
• Jeff Newman, Sam Murphy, Cory LeBouves and Sonny Hughey added base hits for the Warriors.
On March 19, the Warriors fell to the San Pasqual Eagles 3-6.
