Gary T. Wise, 81

Gary T. Wise, 81, passed away March 25, 2007, at Pleasant Care, Vista, CA. Born November 3, 1925, in Clovis, NM, he was a resident of Fallbrook for 50 years.

Mr. Wise was a biology teacher at Fallbrook High School for 30 years and retired in 1985. He served in the US Merchant Marines during WWII and in the US Army during and after the Korean War era. He was active in high school driver training, served as a spotter for football games and started a backpacking club at the school. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, backpacking and music.

Mr. Wise was preceded in death by wife Joyce Wise in 2006. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Susan Wise, Morrison, CO, and Karen and George Ward, Fallbrook; son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Renee Wise, Loveland, CO; and grandchildren Joachim, Henry and Samuel.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Fallbrook, 488 Industrial Way, Suite A-1, Fallbrook. Entombment with military honors will be on Monday, April 30, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego.
