State Conference is finally here!

Throughout these past few weeks, the FFA and the 4-H have been extremely busy from picking out pigs to getting ready to go to the state finals for Parliamentary Procedure and the statewide field day at Fresno State.

With 90 days left ’til the San Diego County Fair, our school farm is full of life with livestock and plants and is counting down the days until weigh-in day at the fair on June 25.

The next activity coming up is State Leadership Conference. For Parliamentary Procedure team members and public speaking participants, the trip to the conference will begin on Thursday, April 12; those not involved in these activities will begin their trip Friday, April 13.

The State Leadership Conference is an outstanding opportunity for students to learn leadership skills, meet other members from the entire state of California and be recognized for their achievements throughout the year. This year, both the Advanced and Novice Parliamentary Procedure teams will be competing, as well as Wade Colburn in Creed, Tatiana Prestininzi in Extemporaneous Public Speaking and Maggie Maratsos in Prepared Public Speaking.

The next show that Fallbrook will be attending is the Grange Show held on April 21 at Rider’s Field. Students will be exhibiting livestock such as steers, lambs and goats in preparation for the San Diego County Fair.

At the high school, this is the last week before Spring Break and an outstanding opportunity for students to work on their SAE projects! Spring Break is Friday, April 6, to Monday, April 16.

Thank you for reading, and remember: Go Warriors!
