Exhibits on show at Brandon Gallery

Brandon Gallery will host two exhibitions in April.

Member Mary Lou Zimdars will present her exhibition of collage art, entitled “Bits ‘n’ Pieces,” April 1-30. Zimdars has developed her collage pieces into a sophisticated array of work, encompassing both soft and subtle images and also the colorful and dramatic.

Brandon Gallery will also present “Word Play,” an exhibit of works celebrating National Poetry Month, the Art of the Book Festival and the Community Read, in the Etcetera Gallery. Rise Gettler, Viviana Lombrozo, Kathleen Morgan, Carrie Repking and Susan Richardson have created works that make reference to poets and their words or to Julia Child’s memoir “My Life in France.” Their works represent diverse media, including acrylics, mixed media, monotype and book arts.

A reception for all contributing artists of the two exhibitions, entitled “April in Paris,” will be held April 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. Another opportunity to meet the artists of the “Word Play” exhibition and see demonstrations will be on Saturday, April 28, from noon to 2 p.m.

Brandon Gallery is located at 105 North Main Avenue, Fallbrook. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call (760) 723-1330 or visit http://www.brandonartfallbrook.com.
