Do you have a letter of blessing from your father?

If you’re like me, you don’t; but if you did, there would be only one word to describe it. Priceless. There’s a new ministry emerging which is capturing the hearts of fathers throughout the country. It’s called Letters From Dad. Men, it will change your life! (Dr. Ken Canfield, National Center for Fathering). Dr. Gene Getz, author of The Measures of a Man says, “Our heavenly Father has written a personal love letter called The Bible. Letters From Dad’follows a solid Biblical model as it teaches men how to write words of faith, hope and love that will be a blessing to their families for generations to come.”

Greg Vaughn, Emmy award-winning film producer and founder of Letters From Dad, will be preaching at both the 8:30 and 10:30 morning worship services at Riverview Church on Sunday, April 29th. Afterwards we’ll have a barbeque Kickoff. Registration will take place that evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Approximately one month following the Kickoff, training sessions called Legacy Groups of 10-14 men each, will meet once a month for 4 months.

Letters From Dad, as described by its Founder Greg Vaughn, “is Promise Keepers with a laser beam and that laser beam is to focus on one thing, your wife and children.” Greg is the president and founder of Grace Products, which is one of the leaders in the production and distribution of Christian films. He is the winner of two Television Emmys for his educational series IN SEARCH OF THE HEROES, which is used in over 40,000 schools and libraries. Through his offices in Richardson, Texas, he works directly with over 85,000 churches. Greg and his wife Carolyn have seven awesome children.

If God were to call you home today, what would your wife and children hold in their hands tomorrow that would let them know that they were the treasures of your life? Plan to attend this Kickoff or call the church office (760) 941-1430 for more information.
