Frank Carmin Adams

Frank Carmin Adams, 60, passed away April 2, 2007. He was born March 30, 1947, in Pomona, CA.

Frank was a 1965 graduate of Pomona High School. He attended both Mt. San Antonio Jr. College and Grossmont Jr. College, where he received his AA in police science. In 1965, Frank enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served for four years as a legal court reporter in Barstow, Okinawa and Vietnam.

He was hired by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department in 1971 and retired in 2003 at the rank of sergeant after 33 years of dedicated service. A large portion of those years was spent at the Fallbrook Substation, where he worked as a patrol deputy, detective and detective sergeant. He received a Medal of Valor from the Sheriff’s Department in 1977.

Frank married Judith A. Glover, also of Pomona, in May of 1968. They were married for 12 years and had three children: Theresa Adams-Hydar of Escondido, Jeannine L. Adams-Dinger of Temecula and Steven F. Adams of San Marcos.

In 1998 Frank married Sharon L. James of Fallbrook.

Frank served on the North County Fire Board for 12 years. He was also a very active member of the Fallbrook VFW Post 1924, where he served as post commander.

Frank is survived by father B. Milton Adams, Hesperia; brother Michael M. Adams, Hesperia; children Theresa, Jeannine and Steven; present wife Sharon; and grandchildren Timmy, 6, and triplets Tommy, Emmy and Ally Dinger, 4; Bethany, 5, and Matthew Hydar, 3 months; and Kaden Adams, 15 months. Frank will be missed by his family and many friends.

There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Christ The King Lutheran Church, 1620 South Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook.
