Garden Club to learn about re-blooming irises

On Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at Fallbrook Public Utility District, 990 East Mission Road, Carol Croy, a Fallbrook Garden Club member and resident iris expert, will share her knowledge and resources for growing irises that produce flowers more than once a year. “Some types of iris will bloom two to three times a year in addition to the typical spring bloom of March or April,” says Carol. She will offer information on which types are the “re-bloomers” and how to divide them when the time comes.

All Fallbrook Garden Club meetings are open to the public. The club is a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region and California Garden Clubs, Inc., Palomar District. For more information call Barbara Russell at (760) 728-8081 or Yolande Jackson at (760) 728-0301.
