Realtors to raise money for youth, seniors with golf tourney

Members of the North San Diego County Association of Realtors (NSDCAR) will be swinging their golf clubs on April 16 to raise money for the North County Boys & Girls Club and the Fallbrook Senior Center.

The golf tournament will be held at the Golf Club of California on Flower Lane in Fallbrook. This year, the fourth for the event, the Realtors will receive a big boost from the Pala Indian Tribe, who are contributing $5,000 to sponsor the event, making it possible for more money to be donated to the charities.

“This is very exciting,” said tournament co-chair Stacey Angstead. “We are very grateful to the folks from Pala for such a generous sponsorship. It’s really going to make this event special.” Angstead is co-chairing the event with Mark Fabela, both members of the NSDCAR Board of Directors.

Last year, the tournament raised over $1,400 to upgrade the telephone system at the Boys & Girls Club of North County. This year they are hoping to exceed that by a substantial amount.

“Our goal is to surpass last year’s total amount raised,” said Fabela.

The Realtor designation indicates that a real estate agent is a member of National Association of Realtors and has taken an oath of ethics to deal with homebuyers and sellers with fairness and transparency. There are over 6,500 members of NSDCAR.
