CDF tells how to report fires

When a fire or other emergency happens, it is important to know how to report it.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) advises all residents to have emergency phone numbers at each telephone. When reporting an emergency, the caller should speak slowly and clearly to the dispatcher while giving the type of emergency, the address, the nearest cross street and the telephone from which the call is being made.
