Fallbrook golfers compete

On March 27, the second of four matches for the Fallbrook Winery Cup was held at San Luis Rey Resort. This time, Pala Mesa Resort’s men’s team won the match, led by individual leader Bob Selsor. This is the second time Selsor was the top point man, with over 40 points in the modified Stableford system.

Pala Mesa led the field, followed by the teams from the Golf Club of California, first match winner Fallbrook Golf and host club San Luis Rey. Fallbrook Winery is preparing a special trophy to be presented to the overall winner after the June 5 match at the beautiful Golf Club of California.

Host professional Greg Millikan said, “Despite a windy day, all 32 players had an enjoyable, competitive day. Gina Dells, assistant pro at San Luis Rey, was the only woman competing, and she kept the other three professionals in line with a very good score.”

Pala Mesa Resort will host the third match on May 1. The race for the Fallbrook Winery Cup is getting tighter, and this match is expected to bring the top contenders in the spotlight.
