Local educator takes part in Oxford Round Table seminar

FALLBROOK — Teresita Leimer, administrator of the Fallbrook Montessori School, recently accepted an invitation to participate in a week-long Oxford Round Table seminar on “Education for the Future: Public Versus Religious Schooling,” held March 25-30 at Lincoln College, University of Oxford, in Oxford, England. Leimer was one of 34 scholars, religious leaders and administrators in education and policy chosen internationally through a select screening process to take part in this event.

The purpose of the Oxford Round Table is to promote human advancement and understanding through the improvement of education. The results of the deliberations are published and distributed to policymakers and academic libraries around the world. Previous Oxford Round Tables have produced several books.

“I was very pleased to attend this Round Table session,” Leimer said. “It was an honor for me to discuss issues related to choice in education with experts from both public and private sectors from all across the United States.”

Leimer has taught at Fallbrook Montessori School since 2000, taking on the additional duties of administrator in 2004.
