Wilkinses celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

FALLBROOK — Hal and Gloria Wilkins celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with friends at the Hukilau Restaurant at Fallbrook Golf Club on April 20. They were married April 18, 1947, at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church.

They have three children, Mark, who lives in Juniper Hills; Wendy, Visalia; and Terrie Lyn, Staatsburg, New York. They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Hal graduated from USC and served in the Navy. Gloria attended UCLA and Art Center, Los Angeles. They lived in Westwood until 1976, when they bought their home in Fallbrook. It took four years to move permanently to Fallbrook. Hal retired from Security National Bank on June 30, 1981.

Gloria was active in the Fallbrook Art Association and the Newcomers and, along with Hal, was an original member of the C Notes of the Fallbrook Music Society. Hal has been a member of the Men’s Club at Fallbrook Golf Club since 1981.

“We are so grateful to have found Fallbrook, where we have made so many wonderful friendships over the years,” Hal said.
