Clifford M. Pleggenkuhle, Sr., 96, passed away April 24, 2007, in Fallbrook, CA. Born September 23, 1910, in Hawkeye, IA, he was a resident of Fallbrook for 35 years.
Mr. Pleggenkuhle retired in 1970 after 33 years as an airline pilot with Continental Airlines. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Fallbrook; OX5 Aviation Pioneers; the Quiet Birdmen; and the Continental Airlines Golden Eagles.
Mr. Pleggenkuhle was preceded in death by wife Flora in 2006 and brother Lee. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Ann and Dr. Skip Park, Arcadia, CA; son and daughter-in-law Clifford M. Pleggenkuhle Jr. and Kellee Pleggenkuhle, Huffman, TX; five grandchildren, Cari Briese, Clifford M. Pleggenkuhle III, Anne Davis, Laura Park and Lindsay Park; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held April 30, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church; inurnment followed at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
