Hope Lochhead

Hope Lochhead died at age 101 on December 12, 2006, in Fallbrook, CA.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, Hope was in Berlin, Germany, with her parents when World War I started. Her father was studying medicine and her mother music in Berlin. Hope attended Tudor Hall in Indianapolis and graduated from Pine Manor and Wellesley colleges in Massachusetts. She later taught in a private school. She was a member of the Junior League of Indianapolis and a Red Cross volunteer during WWII.

Hope married William J. Lochhead in 1936. In 1953, they moved to Wilmette, IL, where Hope was employed by Carson Pirie...
