Award-winning entertainment slated for Wine/Food Fest

This year’s Wine & Food Festival, hosted by Bonsall Rotary on Friday, May 18, will feature more than just culinary delights. The blues/rock sound of Aunt Kizzy’z Boyz and the jazz of the Chris Klich Jazz Quintet will fill the evening air on two stages as guests sip fine wines and sample gourmet dishes offered by local restaurants.

The nationally acclaimed Aunt Kizzy’z Boyz will perform high-energy blues, rock and soul. As the representative band for San Diego, the Boyz were recently runner-up at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. Their first CD, entitled “Trunk Full of Bluez,” was released in 2004. The Chris Klich Jazz Quintet performs a broad spectrum of music from the jazz idiom. Chris Klich, a native of San Diego, has performed professionally for the last 20 years. In addition to quality entertainment, numerous domestic and international wineries will offer wine tasting. Attendees will sample many fine and award-winning wines and will enjoy complementary dishes and hors d’oeuvres prepared by local restaurants and food caterers.

The Bonsall Rotary Club will also conduct a huge silent auction offering a broad array of items ranging from trips to fine art.

Free, scheduled bus transportation to and from the event will be offered to Fallbrook and Bonsall residents starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Park ’n Ride lot located at the intersection of Highway 76 and I-15.

Proceeds from the event are used to support local and international charities.
