'Healthy Woman' program to kick off May 22

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Hospital will kick off a new community collaborative program on Tuesday, May 22, at The Golf Club of California. The “Healthy Woman” programs will feature a monthly series of free seminars, health fairs, educational programs and interactive events that will focus on women. Healthy Woman programs are dedicated to improving the emotional, physical and fiscal wellbeing of both women and the families for which they care.

The monthly presentations will cover physical and emotional healthcare, as well as financial wellbeing and spiritual development. Healthcare topics will include pertinent information on heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, menopause, nutrition, osteoporosis, stress management and life balance issues.

The kickoff event, which includes dinner, begins at 6 p.m. and will feature special guest speaker Suzanne Metzger, PhD. For more than 15 years, Metzger, a breast cancer survivor and author of two books, has captivated audiences with her humorous yet provocative speeches. She will share the importance of having the right attitude and “soft skills” tools to build a healthy and happy approach to life.

The cost for the presentation and dinner is $20. Seating is limited and must be reserved and prepaid. For more information about Healthy Woman, or to purchase tickets to the dinner presentation, call (760) 731-8432.
