McKasson to present workshop

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Art Association, in association with the Art Campus at Fallbrook, is sponsoring a three-day workshop with Joan McKasson May 17-19 at its School of Art, 310 East Alvarado Street. In addition, McKasson will be the judge for the “Art of the Flower Festival,” scheduled for Sunday, May 20, in downtown Fallbrook.

McKasson is a nationally recognized watercolor painter and an enthusiastic, inspirational instructor of creative watercolor and watermedia workshops. She teaches workshops internationally and is on the staff of the Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla. Regarding her painting philosophy, McKasson says, “Observing the beauty and patterns in our world and sharing my personal vision through the use of color and pattern is a continuing theme in my work.”
