RE: 'Sorensen Ranch forced to close doors' [Village News, 5/4/07]

What a sad state of affairs for Rainbow. I haven’t seen a planning group yet that has improved a community’s appearance and appeal.

My wife and I were tickled to death to see Sorensen Ranch open. It was a breath of fresh air to see this family-oriented ranch open its doors. My granddaughter loved the petting zoo and we all loved to browse and pick out fresh produce on our visits.

I guess that a gun club, an RV storage facility, a construction storage lot and a truck relay facility add to the country feel of the area. Sorensen Ranch was beautifully maintained and well operated.

I think that the Rainbow Planning Group did a great injustice to the community by not allowing the ranch to stay open. Maybe they will okay a new dump site and a rock quarry next. Good luck to, and may God bless, the Sorensens.
