Bill Goldberg Grand Marshal for Bikers For Education charity ride

FALLBROOK — Professional wrestling icon and actor Bill Goldberg will be Grand Marshal for the Third Annual BFE Ride & Rally on Saturday, May 12, to help Bikers For Education Foundation (BFE) raise money for youth education and the children of fallen American troops.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast and resident of Bonsall, Goldberg currently hosts the “Bullrun” reality show on SpikeTV and acted in several films including “Half Past Dead 2” and “The Longest Yard.”

“We are thrilled and thankful to have Goldberg as our Grand Marshal,” said Matthew J. Downey, chairman and founder of BFE.

The event begins at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and blessing of bikes at St. Peter’s Catholic School, continues with a Poker Run ride of more than 80 miles and concludes with an afternoon rally from noon until 4:30 p.m. at Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center. At the rally, participants will enjoy BBQ lunch, beer garden, live music by local artist Kevin Moyles, more than 200 raffle prizes and free door prizes, an auction, a magic show, vendors of all kinds and a best bike contest.

“If you ride a motorcycle, you just can’t miss this event,” said Downey. “And even if you don’t ride, we invite you to drive out to Bates Nut Farm for the afternoon rally to help us raise money for this most worthy cause.”
