Irwins compete in Boston Marathon

Marathon runners Melanie and Karyn Irwin competed in the 111th Boston Marathon on April 16. Running in less-than-desirable conditions with rain, headwinds up to 35 mph and temperatures in the 40s, the sisters posted times of 3:28:32 for Karyn and 3:47:21 for Melanie. This was Melanie’s second Boston Marathon and Karyn’s third.
