'Wines of the World' offered at May 18 event

This year’s North County Wine & Food Festival, slated for Friday evening, May 18, at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, will feature “Wines of the World.”

Over 150 different domestic and international wines will be poured at the event held by the Bonsall Rotary Club. In addition to sampling numerous California wines, participants will taste exotic wines from Africa, Argentina, Chile, Italy, Mexico and New Zealand. The Bonsall Rotary Club will also conduct a huge silent auction offering a broad array of items ranging from trips to fine art.

Free, scheduled bus transportation to and from the event will be offered to Fallbrook and Bonsall residents starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Park ’n Ride lot located at the intersection of Highway 76 and I-15.

Proceeds from the event are used to support local and international charities. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend. Attendance is limited. For cost or to make reservations call (800) 249-2024 or order online at http://www.bonsallrotary.com.
