Animators are invited to Fallbrook Film Factory event

FALLBROOK- On June 2 at 6 p.m., at the Mission Theatre, the Fallbrook Film Factory will host a huge night based on the wonderful art of animation. It will be a night of fun for those that appreciate the art of cartooning in everyday life.

The night starts off with Fallbrook’s first ever Animation Film Fest. Animators of all ages can join in on this competition. From 2-D to 3-D, stop-go, to regular animation, all will be accepted to be judged! Three winners will be showcased and receive a special guest packet. The entries should be no longer than ten minutes and must be burned to a DVD. Entry deadline is May 21 at Fallbrook Art Campus, 310 E. Alvarado. Entry forms can be picked up at the Fallbrook Art Campus, and varying locations around Fallbrook and surrounding areas.

The Film Factory calls all cosplayers, amateur to professional, to come and compete in the creative costume contest. Individuals can show off their ability to look like Ant-Man, Boba Fett, or even Captain Jack Sparrow.

Shortly following the animation festivities is the showing of Southern California’s Cartoonist Society President Dean LeCrone’s film: “Dean LeCrone vs. The Mutants of Comic-con.” Afterwards there will be a multimedia comics party at the Fallbrook Art Campus including caricature artists, cartoonists, costumed nuts, and more.

Early tickets will be available at the C.A.S.T. office across the street from the Mission Theater, or from producers Brandon and Janie Chesney at 760-723-8916.
