Friends of Library choose fundraising slogan

FALLBROOK — The Friends of the Fallbrook Library recently announced the library fundraising slogan which will be used throughout their campaign to raise money for the new library.

“From Knowledge Comes Wisdom” was selected from a number of suggestions gathered from board members and others. The criteria for the slogan relates to a seven-foot bronze owl sculpture donated by Helene Ross in memory of her late husband, Bill, who was an active Fallbrook volunteer and founding member of the Art & Cultural Center. Bill actively supported the library by both using it to find history and futuristic adventures to read and to purchase paperback books from the Bottom Shelf to read while traveling.

The sculpture will be installed at the site of the library once it is completed. Contributions to the Library Building Fund may be sent to the Friends of the Fallbrook Library, PO Box 2586, Fallbrook, CA 92088.
