Oops! I made a mistake

Upon reading my President’s Message in the Bonsall Chamber of Commerce Newsletter section of the May 3rd paper, I discovered a huge error!

By way of explanation, in the California horse racing business, our state regulatory arm is the California Horse Racing Board (“CHRB”). San Luis Rey Downs Thoroughbred Training Center in Bonsall is under the umbrella of the CHRB. We call them the “horse police”. They work well with our local Sheriff Department, our management staff and our horsemen.

So, when I meant to comment on the fact that I was happy that the California Highway Patrol (“CHP”) had become a presence at the intersection of Hwy 76 and Mission Road in Bonsall, I actually wrote down CHRB. So sorry for this big mistake!

I’m still very happy the CHP officers are watching that intersection. Might be a good idea if they show up a bit earlier.
