Donate blood May 29 or June 14

FALLBROOK- The San Diego Blood Bank bloodmobile will accept blood donations at two “open to the public” blood drives – one on May 29, and another on June 14.

The May 29 opportunity will be hosted by Fallbrook Hospital, 624 E. Elder Street, Fallbrook, Tuesday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bloodmobile will be parked in the parking lot.

On Thursday, June 14, the Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary will host a blood drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Community Center, located at 341 Heald Lane, Fallbrook. Auxiliary Volunteer Chairman Esther Johnson is regularly assisted by Betty Long, Velna Wells, Carol Faws and Joyce Gilson.

Participants will have the opportunity to join the San Diego Blood Bank’s new Donor Difference program, which includes access to an online store for donors and the ability to track cholesterol, pulse, and blood pressure after each donation.

Anyone who is at least 17 years old, in good health and weighs at least 110 pounds may be eligible to give blood. A good meal is recommended prior to donation.
