Angel Society grants $11,200 for local projects

The Board of Directors for Fallbrook’s Angel Society met on May 17, and awarded funds totaling $11,200 to non-profit organizations that support the needs of the community. Funds were awarded to the following organizations:

• Fallbrook Healthcare Foundation to provide funds to help support the operating costs for one van in the Care Van Program.

• Maie Ellis School PTA to provide funds for tickets for 3rd grade students to attend the production of “Annie Warbucks” at the Mission Theater.

• Fallbrook Land Conservancy to provide funds to work with Camp Pendleton to protect a large amount of open space in the area and to support a program with Ivy High School to plant and care for native plants which later will be planted on the preserves.

• Fallbrook Family Support League to help fund re-landscaping following construction activity.

• Fallbrook Pop Warner to provide funds toward this year’s operating expenses.

• Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society to purchase and construct display cases, shelving and lighting for exhibits in their expanded museum area.

All of the merchandise sold in the Angel Shop comes from community donations. The Angels are grateful to the community for the clothing and household goods that are donated to the shop every day. The Fallbrook Angel Society uses proceeds from the Angel Thrift Shop, member dues, and other donations to fund requests for worthy community projects.

The Angel Shop is open for business Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The shop is located at 1002 S. Main in Fallbrook.
