Remember the Civil War on May 26

FALLBROOK- A special ceremony will be held on Memorial Weekend, Saturday, May 26, 11 a.m., to remember Civil War Medal of honor Recipient Sgt. William Pittenger who took part in The Great Locomotive Chase. The event will feature Civil War Color Guard, Eagle Young Marines and Mary Gail Tobler who will sing the National Anthem. Event will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery (corner of Alturas Road and West Clemmens Lane) at Pittenger’s gravesite and is sponsored by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, descendants of the brave men that fought for the union in the Civil War.
