Also serving the communities of De Luz, Rainbow, Camp Pendleton, Pala and Pauma

Days go by

The retiring addresses have been written, the menu has been set, and the new officers are eager to make their grand entrance. With the End of the Year BBQ just one day away, excitement is running high at the Fallbrook Ag Department. This single event marks the start of the 2007-2008 year for the Fallbrook FFA and the members are enthusiastic and ready to take on another year!

Just one day after the BBQ, you can see members of Fallbrook FFA participating in the Relay for Life on the high school football field. The Fallbrook FFA team, “Aggies for a Cure,” will be helping fight cancer. Money has been raised over the last month to benefit the cause from not just FFA members but members of the entire community.

Starting on June 8, the San Diego County Fair will be held, and members of Fallbrook FFA will be exhibiting animals there. Market Week, a week in which many members of Fallbrook FFA participate, is held June 25-July 4.

As I wrote in a previous article, elections were held in April for the 2007-2008 Officer team. I was elected as the 2007-2008 Chapter President and Tara Glidden was elected as the 2007-2008 Chapter Reporter. Tara will be taking my place starting next week writing articles about the Fallbrook FFA. I appreciate everyone who has been reading my articles over the past year and I encourage you to continue to read them as this next year progresses.

That is all for this week. Thank you for reading!
