Healthy Woman program debuts with dinner event

Dr. Suzanne Metzger, featured speaker at the May 22 Healthy Woman Kick-Off event at The Golf Club of California, expounds on the positive aspects of getting older in “Gaining Self-Acceptance – Liking Who You Are.” The Healthy Woman program will offer a monthly series of events dedicated to the emotional, physical and fiscal wellbeing of women and their families.

Introduced by Rebecca Eastom of ABS Copy Center (right), John McNair, Vice President of Golf Operations for JC Golf, welcomes 180 women (and a few men) to The Golf Club of California, which was the Presenting Partner for the event. Accompanying McNair were Kay McLaughlin, owner of The Golf Club of California and Vice President of Magnus Investment Group, Inc., and John Tyler, Director of Sales for The Golf Club of California (not shown).

Cheered on by Mary Ellen Langlois (left), Healthy Woman Co-Coordinators Monique Murphy-Mijares and Jan Mangus draw winning raffle tickets for door prizes provided by local businesses. The evening event also included a gift bag for each attendee, with items donated by various sponsors, and a silent auction to raise funds for the program.
