In regard to your reporters article re: Healthy Pet Act (AB 1634) – kudos to your writer! As a pet owner and animal lover, I feel the problem with irresponsible dog owners should continue to be addressed, but this law does not hit the mark. In fact it is, without a doubt, unconstitutional.

We the people, have rights to make choices and decisions about our lives. This Bill does not target the small percentage of people that create problems and dump unwanted pets. Instead it makes criminals of law abiding and responsible pet owners. Thank you for your honest writing and well made points!
