San Onofre drama class performs for military families

The 6th, 7th and 8th graders in Laura Herter’s drama class at San Onofre School will be performing two short plays on June 1, 6 p.m., at the school. “Dude, Where’s my Lung?” is an anti-smoking comedy while “Hairum Scarum” is a comedy in which fairy tale characters have a bad hair day at the salon. The plays are open to all military families on Camp Pendleton and promise to be a fun-filled evening. Admission is free.

The play is a result of the Fallbrook Elementary School District making “Visual and Performing Arts” one of the priorities of this year. Committees have been formed at all school sites and funds are being allocated to restore the performing arts in Fallbrook’s schools.
