FFA selling plants at a discount

Last updated 6/6/2007 at Noon

Fallbrook FFA’s last plant sale of the school year is on Saturday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to noon. All plants will be 20 to 50 percent off.

The students thank everyone for supporting their plant sales. This year was one of the best in student plant projects in terms of participation as well as income received. The Youth Fair Plant Sale was an outstanding success in numbers of plants sold as well as amount earned in several of their plant projects.

The new Environmental Horticulture class for the 2007-08 school year will have a primary focus on new plant projects as well as trying to establish drought-tolerant landscape plants.

The students are in need of one-gallon cans for their upcoming school year plant projects. Anyone who can donate these containers can bring them to the plant sale this Saturday. Everyone is also encouraged to go see the FFA’s landscape project at the San Diego County Fair.
