Sullivan musicians complete successful competition season

BONSALL — Sullivan Middle School’s music department, directed by Stacy Sharpe and choreographed by Katie Hornsveld, are proud to announce the results of the 2007 competition season.

Starting on April 28, Show Choir II took a superior rating, first place and Overall Junior High Sweepstakes at the Music in the Parks Educational Festival. In addition, the Jazz Band took an excellent rating and a first place in their division. Following on May 5, Show Choir II went to Pasadena and competed in the Southern California Vocal Association Show Choir Spectacular and took second place in their division.

And on May 19, Show Choir III took a superior rating, first place and Overall Junior High Sweepstakes at the Music in the Parks Educational Festival. In addition, Show Choir I took second place and an excellent rating and ACE mixed choir took second place and an excellent rating in their division. Finally, Brooke Straeter took Overall Junior High Vocalist with “Broadway Baby.”
