Healthy Woman collaborative launches in style

FALLBROOK — Healthy Woman kicked off in style with a red carpet, rose petals and a fabulously decorated room with an ambiance not soon to be forgotten!

Hosted by the Golf Club of California, the event featured keynote speaker Suzanne Metzger, PhD, who captivated the audience of 190 – mostly women – with her inspirational story and relayed the importance of gaining self-acceptance and the value of a positive attitude in life.

The Healthy Woman community collaborative is coordinated by Monique Murphy-Mijares and Jan Mangus of Fallbrook Hospital and is supported by an advisory council of community representatives and by local business partners.

This free community resource program will feature a series of monthly educational programs designed to provide women with information on how to take care of their emotional, physical and fiscal wellbeing. The programs will be held at various partner locations and will include social and networking opportunities, food, fun and door prizes.

Coldwell Banker Landmark Group will be hosting the next event on Wednesday, June 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Caffé Primo, 139 Main Avenue. Dr. Hanh Le, OB/GYN, Graybill Medical Group, will talk about “Cervical Cancer and the New HPV Vaccine” and cancer survivor Mary Ellen Langlois will discuss “Understanding and Managing Life Changes.”
