BREEZE offering shuttle service for San Diego County Fair

OCEANSIDE — With fuel prices reaching all-time highs and congestion worsening around Del Mar, the North County Transit District (NCTD) is pleased to offer public transit to the San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Every day that the fair is open, NCTD will run BREEZE shuttle buses to and from the Escondido Transit Center and a frequent shuttle transporting passengers between the Solana Beach Train Station and the fairgrounds.

Passengers who show their BREEZE day pass or monthly pass when entering the fair will receive a $1.75 discount off the price of regular fair admission. Shuttle buses will run every day the fair is open: Friday, June 8, through Wednesday, July 4 (fair closed June 11-12, 18-19 and 25).

From the Escondido Transit Center, passengers can catch the BREEZE Fairgrounds Shuttle (Route 408), which departs at 9:45 a.m. and leaves every hour, with the last trip of the day at 9:45 p.m. The trip takes 45 minutes and will drop passengers off near the fair’s West Gate entrance (in the Fun Zone). Return trips to Escondido leave the fairgrounds at 10:45 a.m. and every hour until the last trip at 10:45 p.m. Parking is free at the Escondido Transit Center.
