Ramos graduates from UC Irvine

Melissa Isabel Ramos will be graduating June 15, 2007, from the University of California, Irvine School of Social Sciences with a BA in Political Science (Public Law) and a minor in Latin American History.

Being very involved in sports, Ramos competed on the 2003 and 2004 UCI cross country team as well as the 2004 and 2005 track and field team as a middle distance runner. She interned for the UCI Athletics Marketing and Promotions department, worked in the UCI Athletics Ticket Office and was a sports staff writer for the New University Newspaper. She is a member of the Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc., serving as Secretary, Dean of Prospective Members and Community Service Chair.

She is accepting an administrative position in UCI Athletics department this summer.

Ramos plans to attend graduate school for sports administration and management in the fall of 2008. She is a 2003 graduate of Fallbrook High School and is the daughter of Alfonso and Elvira Ramos of Fallbrook.
