Last updated 6/14/2007 at Noon

FALLBROOK — Once again, patients at Fallbrook Hospital have spoken up to shine a spotlight on the exceptional care provided by a nurse. John Crowe, RN, was nominated by patients for the care he offers and was named the Fallbrook Hospital Patient Choice Award winner for 2007.

Crowe has been in the medical field since the age of 18, entering nursing seven years ago. He has worked at Fallbrook Hospital for one year as a nurse in the Emergency Department. Says Crowe, “I enjoy ER nursing because every day is a new day. There are new opportunities and techniques to learn that directly impact patients and their care.”

The Patient Choice Award is an annual program that recognizes the quality care, comfort and compassion offered by the nurses at Fallbrook Hospital, honoring one nurse in particular each year. This tradition has been carried out for the last few years in conjunction with Nurses’ Week in early May.

For more information about the program, call (760) 731-8432, e-mail [email protected] or send a letter to Monique Murphy-Mijares, Marketing Director, Fallbrook Hospital, 624 E. Elder Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
