Please wave, honk or say hello

Rarely do you find a person who is willing to really share with others. I have seen this type of person twice in my life.

First was Laguna Joe, who stood on a street corner in Laguna Beach waving and saying hello to everyone for over 30 years. The second is the gentleman who sits on a block wall on the corner of Fallbrook Street and Magarian Road/Heald Lane.

The reason he sits on this wall waving is the fact that he is wearing a nasal cannula with an oxygen tank attached. I don’t know that many people in that physical shape would spend their last days on a street corner waving and saying good morning to people he has never met.

So if you are driving in that area and see him, please give him a little wave, honk or even pull around the corner and get out of your car and give him a minute of your time. He isn’t expecting anything from anyone; he just wants to make your day better. My wish is that we can all make his remaining days a little better and let him know he made a difference in our lives.
