Sirina moved to Illinois, but I'm still here

On Friday, June 15, Hometown Appliance will close its door permanently. For the past seven years, Sirina Waddell, the owner of the store, has offered the people of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow and outlying areas a local, convenient source for all their major appliance needs, but times and priorities change.
After 18 years in Fallbrook as a shop owner catering to cat lovers’ needs, then as the owner of an appliance installation company, and finally as the owner of the appliance store itself, Sirina has retired from the business world and moved to our retirement home in Illinois.
Although involved in several activities there, her main goal has been to simply relax and enjoy her 104-year old Victorian “mansion,” taking care of her flowers and garden. She also takes care of all our stray and throwaway cats we have adopted over the years.
Sirina has made numerous friends here in California. Whether they were children coming into her Kitty Korner shop and are now adults with children of their own, or homeowners coming into her appliance store, or meeting at a social or fundraiser event, she was always happy to see them.
Sirina wishes to thank all her friends and customers for the many years she enjoyed here in Fallbrook. Though she is now retired, you can be certain she has not forgotten you.
As for me, many people have thought that I had retired and gone to Illinois as well. That was our plan at one time, but financial reality and common sense changed that plan. I continue to run Fowler Rooter and Plumbing and will be doing so until I am certain that our retirement years will be secure.
I make trips back to Illinois three or four times a year to see Sirina and the house, do some “honey-dos” and visit the cats. I will eventually retire and join Sirina in Illinois.
Thank you, Fallbrook, Bonsall, and Rainbow, for making Sirina welcome and happy here through the years.
