Coming home

You know that feeling you get when you go home for the holidays? Your family cheerfully greets you, they wait on you and they are truly interested in you. Yeah, that feeling!

Well, have I got news for you. On Friday, June 8, I had taken my mother out for a meal as we usually do, and this time we decided to dine at Trupiano’s Restaurant on Main. Mother is slightly hard of hearing, so she will speak louder than normal from time to time and this was one of those times. While eating her entrée, she mentioned that we had not received any bread with our meal. I explained that since I had ordered the Bruschetta appetizer, that might be why. We then continued on with our conversation. In less than a minute, the owner himself appeared with a bread basket for us!

I was so impressed that I just had to share this with all of you. Unfortunately, customer service just isn’t what it once was, and I also sadly think that we have come to accept less from all service-oriented businesses. With that being said, thank you, Faro for making us feel so special.

I invite all who read this to gather friends and family, go to Trupiano’s, have a wonderful time and enjoy their fine food and customer service.

Mickie and C.J. Monroe
