Kerry Doney, Major Market Associate of the Month

Chances are that if you bought anything in the Major Market’s Floral Department for the holidays, you benefited from the expertise of Kerry Doney, Major Market’s Associate of the Month. Kerry, an employee since 1989, says she loves her job because it touches all phases of people’s lives. “I work with people in every phase of life: 25th wedding anniversaries, funerals, birthdays, weddings… and, of course, the major holidays.”

Kerry says she is very fortunate. Major Market management gives her the freedom to choose what to buy, from whom and what to sell. So, the little decorations, the wrappings of floral… all those choices come from Kerry. She can also “special order” almost anything.

One of the favorite parts of her job is the constant variety. She says she never has one day that is like the next. “It’s always a new day with something new,” Kerry says.

And, yes, Kerry does have a garden at home, along with a special cat that charmed her, in part, by having two different-color eyes.
