I bet the earlier fire starter is back

A few months ago, I posted this article on our newsletter-from Brother’s Bistro. “There is now a $10,000 reward for the guy that has started 40 fires in the Oceanside/Bonsall area near the San Luis Rey River. Here’s his description according to the N.C. Times – roughly 6-foot-tall, 40-year-old man in a trench coat. Sgt. Leonard Mata told reporters ‘We seriously need to catch this guy and get him behind bars! Keep your eyes open! A 6-foot guy in a trench coat? He should be easy to spot. This person was setting fires weekly near the San Luis Rey River.’”

My deduction is that either we have two fire starters or, most likely, the initial fire starter went to jail or was deported for some reason. Anyway, in my opinion, he’s back, as well as dangerous as he can be.

Our hills and valleys are very dry due to the lack of normal rainfall-and the frost we experienced in February.

I sincerely hope that our police and fire departments are putting two and two together.

If this person was deported or jailed, for other reasons, I hope that they will explore their data bases for a person of interest who coincidentally was removed from the Fallbrook/Bonsall and Oceanside area during this time frame. As well as check their data base as to who re-entered this area recently before these fires.
