AAUW installs new officers

The Fallbrook branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) recently enjoyed a “Pass the Gavel” luncheon at the home of Chris Young. Before her installation as the branch’s president for 2007-08, Young addressed the group to express her optimism for another productive and stimulating year and thank those who had served to make the closing year a success. Outgoing president Sherry Ludwig, who served for two years as the organization’s president, expressed her gratitude as well. Both Young and Ludwig will represent Fallbrook at the AAUW National Convention.

In addition to Young as president for the upcoming year, the following were installed by past president Linda Gregg: president elect Iris Bourque, first vice president (programs) Emma Urueta-Ruiz, second vice president (membership) JoAnn Rego, third vice president (educational foundation and legal advocacy fund) Eileen Hider, recording secretary Margaret Wernett, corresponding secretary Kathy Bierbrauer, treasurer Christine King and special funds treasurer Ronne Branson.
