Criminals are laughing

Ms. Gerten has it right [“Our Second Amendment,” Village News, Opinion, 6/21/07]. Thus far in the US there have been approximately 22,000 infringements of the Second Amendment since 1934. None have ever been proven to have prevented a single crime, at least not in research by the American Academy of Science and the CDC.

Still, the gun-grabbers and liberals of other persuasions are breathlessly attempting to pass more laws that do nothing to address the problems with guns: criminals. They just laugh at laws. That’s why they’re criminals.

In my humble opinion, any elected official, at any level of government, who has voted for a gun control law, all of which are unconstitutional, is guilty of treason.
