Downtown tree adopted in memory of Harold Barnes

FALLBROOK — A beautiful jacaranda tree adjacent to the post office in downtown Fallbrook has been adopted by Peggy Seay-Kruger in memory of her son, Harold Ray Barnes, who passed away in 2004. Barnes, 55, was an Air Force and Vietnam veteran who spent most of his life in Blythe, CA. His mother is a longtime Fallbrook resident who is active in many community organizations.

The tree adoption was part of the “Treescape Fallbrook” program, coordinated by the Fallbrook Save Our Forest organization, an affiliate of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy. Those interested in adopting a downtown tree are encouraged to call Anne Richter at the Land Conservancy office at (760) 728-0889.
