Annual 'Galaxy of Glass' show open through August 26

FALLBROOK — The Art Center at Fallbrook is presenting the 10th Annual “Galaxy of Glass” show now through August 26.

The show features a broad spectrum of handmade glass from artists and artisans across the region. Works for sale will include sculpture, vessels, jewelry, lamps, paperweights, perfumers and functional ware that have been created using myriad processes including blown, torched, slumped, fused and cast.

The featured sponsor family in the show will be the Everetts of Fallbrook, Merrill, Deborah and Christopher, who will show their hot blown and sculpted works. Other Fallbrook artists included in the show are Sean Myers with hot blown glass vessels and glassware and Marlene Rantanen with her custom jewelry.

The show is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.

This exciting show will be open late on Friday, August 10, and Friday, August 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. to coincide with Hot Summer Nights, the downtown event that includes live music, food, classic autos and more.

The Art Center at Fallbrook is located at the corner of Main Avenue and Alvarado Street.
