Major Market rewards customers for recycling

FALLBROOK — Major Market has started rewarding their customers for participating in the plastic carryout bag recycling effort the store implemented July 1. Pat Hile was the winner of the store’s first weekly raffle (for a $25 gift certificate).

The store now has an easily accessible plastic carryout bag collection bin so customers can recycle clean bags. Major Market has reusable cloth grocery bags for sale that customers can use regularly for their shopping.

The recycling efforts are in accordance with Assembly Bill 2449, which requires retailers of a certain size and volume to establish an at-store recycling program.
