NCL recognizes outstanding service to community

FALLBROOK — The San Luis Rey Chapter of the National Charity League recently held their Service Recognition Awards Banquet for the 2006-2007 year to recognize the 10,460 hours donated this year by this mother-daughter organization to the community.

In addition, over $17,000 was raised by the patronesses and dispersed to the community in the form of eight scholarships for non-NCL senior girls at Fallbrook High School and donations to local organizations, including Fallbrook People to People, Women’s Resource Center and Palomar Family Counseling. An additional $3,239 was raised by the Ticktockers. The recipients of these funds were Fallbrook Land Conservancy, North County Disabled Services, Special Olympics, Kids on the Block, Casa de Amparo, New Haven Home, REINS, Fallbrook Child Development Center, Fallbrook Community Center and Fallbrook Library Summer Reading Program.

The Mission Bell Award is given in recognition of 50 hours of service to one specific philanthropy, in addition to the required hours. This year, the recipients of the Mission Bell Award were Lauren and Nicole Bell for New Haven Home for Boys; Kathryn and Christina Bosch for Fallbrook Senior Center; Maggie Earle for New Haven Home for Boys; Carrie Jercinovich for New Haven Home for Boys; Alisa Kempf for Fallbrook Child Development Center; Miranda Smith for REINS; April Ventuleth for Women’s Resource Center, Women’s Emergency Food Pantry and New Haven Home for Boys; and Danika Ventuleth for Women’s Resource Center, New Haven Home for Boys and Fallbrook Boys & Girls Club.

The Heart of Gold Award is given in recognition of 75 hours of service to one specific philanthropy, in addition to the required hours. This year, the recipient of the Heart of Gold Award was Elizabeth Peterson for New Haven Home for Boys.

The Yellow Rose Bouquet Award is given in recognition of 100 hours of service to one specific philanthropy, in addition to the required hours. This year, the recipients of the Yellow Rose Bouquet Award were Tatiana Prestininzi for New Haven Home for Boys and Women’s Resource Center, April and Danika Ventuleth for Casa de Amparo and Lisa and Nicole Walker for New Haven.

The Yellow Rosebud Award is given in recognition of 50 combined hours, in addition to the required hours. This year, the recipients of the Yellow Rosebud Award were Emma Bednarski, Haley Knox, Lauren Sjursen, Hilary Smith, Brittany Mahr and Rebecca Warbrick.

The Yellow Rose Award is given in recognition of 75 combined hours, in addition to the required hours. This year, the recipients of the Yellow Rose Award were Lauren Bell, Nicole Bell, Christina Bosch, Kathyrn Bosch, Maggie Earle, Carrie Jercinovich and Miranda Smith.

The Hourglass Award is given in recognition of 100 combined hours, in addition to the required hours. This year, the recipients of the Hour Glass Award were Alisa Kempf, Elizabeth Peterson, Tatiana Prestininzi, April Ventuleth, Danika Ventuleth, Lisa Walker and Nicole Walker.

The Mother-Daughter Philanthropic Award is given in recognition of a mother-daughter team earning a minimum of 54 hours (50 hours, in addition to the required four hours, with no more than 30 hours for baking or purchased items). This year, the recipients of the Mother-Daughter Service Award were Tina and Lauren Bell, Tina and Nicole Bell, Cheryl and Emily Calsecibetta, Kathy and Maggie Earle, Jude and Alisa Kempf, Connie and Haley Knox, Shannon and April Ventuleth, Shannon and Danika Ventuleth, Pat and Nicole Walker, Pat and Lisa Walker, Lisa Warbrick and Hilary Smith and Lisa Warbrick and Rebecca Warbrick.

The Merci Award is given each year to the Ticktocker earning the most philanthropic service hours, including the required hours. This year, Tatiana Prestininzi was presented with the Merci Award for her 738 community service hours.

The Ann Daniel Award is given each year to the Provisional earning the most philanthropic hours. This year’s recipient was Heather Mahr.

The Donna Domanski Award is presented each year to the Patroness earning the most philanthropic hours. Dee Prestininzi was this year’s recipient.
