Soroptimist awards scholarships

FALLBROOK — Recently, an awards luncheon was held at the Lace Apron to present educational scholarships.

Lauren Rodriguez was awarded a $3,000 educational scholarship from Soroptimist International of Fallbrook. Rodriguez is a graduating senior from Fallbrook High School who plans to attend Northern Arizona University to become a dental hygienist.

Additionally, Abad Vera, a graduating senior from Oasis High School, was awarded the $1,000 vocational scholarship. Vera plans to attend ITT to become an electrical engineer. Amy Boren, a graduating senior from Fallbrook High School, was awarded the Junior College Scholarship of $1,000. Boren plans to attend MiraCosta College.
