Stella Mura Goodman

Stella Mura Goodman, 77, passed away July 11, 2007, in Torrance, CA. Born August 9, 1929, in Los Angeles, CA, she was a resident of Fallbrook for 20 years.

Stella’s mother emigrated from Italy and was the owner of the Bunker Hill boarding house “The Claridge,” the site of the present-day LA City Hall. The family continued in the real estate development business in Southern California.

Stella moved to Redondo Beach in 1963 with her husband and children. They loved to visit their Idyllwild cabin and their Fallbrook avocado farm. They loved Fallbrook so much they made it their permanent residence in the early 1990s.

Stella spent her free time with various organizations including the Fallbrook Art Association/Art Center, where she loved painting beside people she enjoyed and learned from, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary and Mended Hearts/Cardiac Rehab. She had a love of frogs, Auracana chickens and other fowl. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Goodman, on October 4, 1992. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Mark Goodman, Fallbrook, Jan Goodman, San Diego, and Warren and Janice Goodman, Torrance; daughter and son-in-law Gina and Khaled Abdelrahman, Fallbrook; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Sherman and Deanna Goodman, Anaheim Hills, CA; and grandchildren Sabrine, Mourad, Tyler and Will.
